The duo busked around Europe and Americaās clubs and bars, performing 250 shows in 16 months!Ā AfterĀ the release of their second EP they were joined byĀ Jon HowellĀ on drums,Ā Patrick HyndesĀ on bassĀ andĀ John GauciĀ on keyboards.Ā In 1997 Leonardoās Bride released their debut albumĀ 'Angel Blood', that was nominated for three awards in the 1997 ARIA awards, including best single and debut album and resulted in gold sales.Ā Their breakthrough single from the album,Ā āEven When I'm Sleeping'ā debuted Number 4 on the ARIA Singles Chart, was voted Song Of The Year and received an award for Most Performed Australian Work at the 1998 APRA Music Awards.Ā Later it was voted one of APRAās Top 30 Australian Songs of the last 75 years.
